A small group of people move to the city to begin gathering people to plant a local church in San Francisco.
2013
Redemption Church and Jerusalem COGIC entered into a partnership for shared space in 1660 McAllister St.
Renovations began at the space, giving Redemption a place to gather in SF.
In June, the church launched it's first Sunday gathering.

2014
In January, the first Sunday Service was held at 1660 McAllister St. Besides during Covid when services were online and a short stent in early 2023, Redemption has continued to meet in this building since.
2016
Pastor Chris Davis and his wife moved to San Francisco and joined the Pastoral Team.
2018
Pastor Nate Hung and his family moved to San Francisco and joined the staff as the Associate Pastor.

As Redemption celebrates its 13th anniversary, we are grateful for all God has done since the church was planted in 2013.
While much has changed over the years, our vision remains the same: to see God cultivate a flourishing, multiplying, Jesus-centered, multi-ethnic church in the heart of San Francisco. As we look ahead, we remain committed to serving our city and living out our mission: We are a Jesus-centered, multi-ethnic, multi-generational, disciple-making church. We exist to connect people to Jesus and one another.
